Openbravo ERP 2.50MP23 available

What's New

News on Openbravo Home page: Openbravo Landing page after login provides latests news and other interesting information about the product. See how you can configure it.
- Instance Purpose: The first time that you login, the system invites you to set the instance purpose (Production, Testing, Evaluation and Development). The purpose is shown on the Welcome page so, in case of using different instances, it will help you to easily differentiate between them
- Full Audit of User requests: System Admin can now track all the actions done by Users in the system, including reading information. See how you can configure it.
- Enhancements on HeartBeat: HeartBeat is a key tool for Openbravo team to learn how the product is being used and improve it based on that feedback. See the detailed description of the enhancements introduced in MP23.
- Forced Login URL: Login page URL can be forced though an optional property. This allows to workaround issue 14430.
- Support for database views in the data access layer: the data access layer now also considers database views as valid business objects. This means entities are generated for them and they can be queried with HQL and accessed through the REST and JSON web service interfaces.
Fixed issues
- 0014625: It is not possible to see an image in a report using {BASE_WEB}+"/../utility/ShowImage?id=IMAGEID" and 0014705: Unable to print documents when accessing the system through localhost. The method to load images in Jasper reports has been modified because of these errors. The new functionality to load images in Jasper reports is described here.
- 13999: Invoice post does not work when exists debt payment with same amount in negative that invoice debt payment.
- 14717: The accounting generated in a bank statement, with currency distinct to schema currency, is not correct.
- 14859: Add feature for REST delete request to select entities via HQL in URI instead of xml-document in request body.
- 13292: Update details for an MP points to current installed release notes.
- 14863: Translation modules containing some untranslated strings fail to install/import.

Known issues
- Updating from versions <2.50MP19 (2.50MP19 not included) to this version causes the process to fail. In case you are running a version lower that 2.50MP19 and you are planning to upgrade to 2.50MP23 follow these steps:
- Run the upgrade process as usual. It will fail in the middle of the process
- Go into the command line, change your current directory to the Openbravo source tree root directory and run ant update.database core.lib wad.lib trl.lib compile.complete.deploy
- Restart Tomcat.
- A reference data item is present in Enterprise Module Management window, named Core, starting from MP19. It's very important that this dataset is not updated through Enterprise Module Management window. Click here for further information.
- If you are updating from 2.50MP15, you could run into a known issue. Have a look at 13284 for detailed information about this issue. The workaround is create the directory "src-diagnostics" in the ERP source directory (source.path).
- If you are updating from 2.50MP10, you could run into a known issue. Have a look at the 2.50MP10 release notes for detailed information about this issue.
- If you are updating from a previous Maintenance Pack, you could run into a known issue. Have a look at the 13356 for detailed information about this issue. The way to avoid this issue is to verify all Document Types for Good Shipments or Good Receipts and verify that the length of the name is less than 44 characters. If you have a Document Type name longer, rename it to a shorter name before upgrading to 2.50MP17.

Installation, updates and upgrades

- To update an existing Openbravo ERP from an earlier release of 2.50 follow the update instructions.
