AD_Org

This table contains the following columns:

Name Nullable Data Type Description

Name No NVARCHAR (60) A more descriptive identifier (that does need to be unique) of a record/document that is used as a default search option along with the search key (that is unique and mostly shorter). It is up to 60 characters in length.
AD_Orgtype_ID No VARCHAR (32) Each organization belongs to an organization type defined in the system
IsPeriodControlAllowed No CHAR (1) An organization that is checked as business unit or as a legal entity can open and close a period control.
C_Calendar_ID Yes VARCHAR (32) The Calendar uniquely identifies an accounting calendar. Multiple calendars can be used. For example you may need a standard calendar that runs from Jan 1 to Dec 31 and a fiscal calendar that runs from July 1 to June 30.
IsReady No CHAR (1) While the organization is not ready, it can be moved inside the organization's tree. A not ready organization can not execute transactions.
Social_Name Yes NVARCHAR (60) This column refer to the legal name of the organization.
C_Currency_ID Yes VARCHAR (32) Indicates the currency to be used when processing this document.
C_Acctschema_ID Yes VARCHAR (32) The book containing all financial transactions recorded for the legal entity.
Value No NVARCHAR (40) A search key allows for a fast method of finding a particular record. If you leave the search key empty, the system automatically creates a numeric number originating from a document sequence defined in the "Document Sequence" window. The sequence naming convention follows a rule "DocumentNo_TableName", where TableName is the actual name of the database table (e.g. C_Order).

Usually, company's internal identifiers for various records (products, customers, etc) are stored here.

UpdatedBy No VARCHAR (32) The Updated By field indicates the user who updated this record.
CreatedBy No VARCHAR (32) The Created By field indicates the user who created this record.
Created No TIMESTAMP (7) The Created field indicates the date that this record was created.
IsActive No CHAR (1) There are two methods of making records unavailable in the system: One is to delete the record, the other is to de-activate the record. A de-activated record is not available for selection, but available for reporting. There are two reasons for de-activating and not deleting records:

(1) The system requires the record for auditing purposes. (2) The record is referenced by other records. E.g., you cannot delete a Business Partner, if there are existing invoices for it. By de-activating the Business Partner you prevent it from being used in future transactions.

AD_Org_ID No VARCHAR (32) An organization is a unit of your client or legal entity - examples are store, department. You can share data between organizations.
AD_Client_ID No VARCHAR (32) A Client is a company or a legal entity. You cannot share data between Clients.
Description Yes NVARCHAR (255) A description is limited to 255 characters.
Updated No TIMESTAMP (7) The Updated field indicates the date that this record was updated.
IsSummary No CHAR (1) A summary entity represents a branch in a tree rather than an end-node. Summary entities are used for reporting and do not have own values.
