ERP 2.50:Developers Guide/Reference/Entity Model/Project


Contains the Value, Name and Description for each project. It also defines and tracks the amounts assigned to, committed to and used for this project. This tab is used in order to introduce information regarding a project: Address, status, …

java.lang.String Identifier of a project defined within the Project & Service Management module.
client AD_Client_ID Mandatory ADClient A Client is a company or a legal entity. You cannot share data between Clients.
organization AD_Org_ID Mandatory Organization An organization is a unit of your client or legal entity - examples are store, department. You can share data between organizations.
active IsActive Mandatory java.lang.Boolean There are two methods of making records unavailable in the system: One is to delete the record, the other is to de-activate the record. A de-activated record is not available for selection, but available for reporting. There are two reasons for de-activating and not deleting records:

(1) The system requires the record for auditing purposes. (2) The record is referenced by other records. E.g., you cannot delete a Business Partner, if there are existing invoices for it. By de-activating the Business Partner you prevent it from being used in future transactions.

creationDate Created Mandatory java.util.Date The Created field indicates the date that this record was created.
createdBy CreatedBy Mandatory ADUser The Created By field indicates the user who created this record.
updated Updated Mandatory java.util.Date The Updated field indicates the date that this record was updated.
updatedBy UpdatedBy Mandatory ADUser The Updated By field indicates the user who updated this record.
searchKey# Value Mandatory

java.lang.String A search key allows for a fast method of finding a particular record. If you leave the search key empty, the system automatically creates a numeric number originating from a document sequence defined in the "Document Sequence" window. The sequence naming convention follows a rule "DocumentNo_TableName", where TableName is the actual name of the database table (e.g. C_Order).

Usually, company's internal identifiers for various records (products, customers, etc) are stored here.

java.lang.String A more descriptive identifier (that does need to be unique) of a record/document that is used as a default search option along with the search key (that is unique and mostly shorter). It is up to 60 characters in length.
description Description Max Length: 255 java.lang.String A description is limited to 255 characters.
comments Note Max Length: 2000 java.lang.String The Note field allows for optional entry of user defined information regarding this record
summaryLevel IsSummary Mandatory java.lang.Boolean A summary entity represents a branch in a tree rather than an end-node. Summary entities are used for reporting and do not have own values.
userContact AD_User_ID ADUser The User identifies a unique user in the system. This could be an internal user or a business partner contact
businessPartner C_BPartner_ID BusinessPartner A Business Partner is anyone with whom you transact. This can include a customer, vendor, employee or any combination of these.
partnerAddress C_BPartner_Location_ID BusinessPartnerLocation The Partner address indicates the location of a Business Partner
orderReference POReference Max Length: 20 java.lang.String This can be used to input a reference for this specific transaction. For example, a Purchase Order number can be input on a Sales Order for easier reference.
paymentTerms C_PaymentTerm_ID FinancialMgmtPaymentTerm Payment Terms identify the method and timing of payment for this transaction.
currency C_Currency_ID Mandatory Currency Indicates the currency to be used when processing this document.
createTemporaryPriceList Createtemppricelist Mandatory java.lang.Boolean This option permits to indicate if a temporary price list will be created for the current project when changing its status to 'Order'.
priceListVersion M_PriceList_Version_ID PricingPriceListVersion Each Price List can have multiple versions. The most common use is to indicate the dates that a Price List is valid for.
salesCampaign C_Campaign_ID MarketingCampaign The Campaign defines a unique marketing program. Projects can be associated with a pre defined Marketing Campaign. You can then report based on a specific Campaign.
legallyBindingContract IsCommitment Mandatory java.lang.Boolean Commitment indicates if the document is legally binding.
plannedAmount PlannedAmt Mandatory java.math.BigDecimal The Planned Amount indicates the anticipated amount for this project or project line.
plannedQuantity PlannedQty Mandatory java.math.BigDecimal The Planned Quantity indicates the anticipated quantity for this project or project line
plannedMargin PlannedMarginAmt Mandatory java.math.BigDecimal The Planned Margin Amount indicates the anticipated margin amount for this project or project line.
contractAmount CommittedAmt Mandatory java.math.BigDecimal The commitment amount is independent from the planned amount. You would use the planned amount for your realistic estimation, which might be higher or lower than the commitment amount.
contractDate DateContract java.util.Date The planned end date is used to determine when the document becomes effective. This is usually the contract date. The planned end date is used in reports and report parameters.
endingDate DateFinish java.util.Date The real end date is used to indicate when the project is expected to be completed or has been completed.
generateTo GenerateTo java.lang.Boolean A button that creates documents
processed Processed Mandatory java.lang.Boolean The Processed checkbox indicates that a document has been processed.
salesRepresentative SalesRep_ID ADUser Indicates the sales representative responsible for the transaction that the document specifies . A valid sales representative is a business partner marked as an employee and a sales representative.
copyFrom CopyFrom java.lang.Boolean Copy lines (products) from another document of the same type.
projectType C_ProjectType_ID ProjectType Project Type is a template of a common project. Standard phases and tasks can be entered into this template and then quickly reused on new projects.
contractQuantity CommittedQty Mandatory java.math.BigDecimal The commitment amount is independent from the planned amount. You would use the planned amount for your realistic estimation, which might be higher or lower than the commitment amount.

projectPhase C_ProjectPhase_ID ProjectPhase Identifies a phase for a particular project.
priceCeiling IsCommitCeiling Mandatory java.lang.Boolean The commitment amount and quantity is the maximum amount and quantity to be charged. Ignored, if the amount or quantity is zero.
warehouse M_Warehouse_ID Warehouse The Warehouse identifies a unique Warehouse where products are stored or Services are provided.
projectCategory ProjectCategory Max Length: 60 java.lang.String The Project Category determines the behavior of the project:General - no special accounting, e.g. for Presales or general trackingService - no special accounting, e.g. for Service/Charge projectsWork Order - creates Project/Job WIP transactions - abili
processNow Processing java.lang.Boolean When this field is set as 'Y' a process is being performed on this record.
initiativeType Publicprivate Max Length: 60 java.lang.String A public o private enterprise. This are the most tipical intiatives
projectStatus Projectstatus Max Length: 60 java.lang.String Indicates the current status of the project. There are normally three:

Open: The budget is sent. The project has not been won yet. Order: The project has been won by a partner we have sent a budget. Order closed: All the products agreed have been delivered.

invoiceAddress BillTo_ID BusinessPartnerLocation An indication of the address to use in the invoice.

This process lets you to generate a purchase order to this project.

changeProjectStatus ChangeProjectStatus Max Length: 60 java.lang.String This process changes the status of this projecto.
locationAddress C_Location_ID Location The Location / Address field defines the location of an entity.
priceList M_PriceList_ID PricingPriceList

Price Lists are used to determine the pricing, margin and cost of items purchased or sold.

formOfPayment PaymentRule Max Length: 60 java.lang.String Form of Payment indicates the method of payment used for this transaction (eg. cash, wire transfer, etc.)
invoiceToProject Invoice_ToProject java.lang.Boolean This option indicates if the invoices has been sent to the winner are "Origen invoices"
plannedPoAmount PlannedPOAmt java.math.BigDecimal Planned amount for the purchase order
lastPlannedProposalDate LastPlannedProposalDate java.util.Date Last day of following up the budget for the project
numberOfCopies Document_Copies Min: 1 java.lang.Long Number of copies
accountNo AccountNo Max Length: 20 java.lang.String The Account Number indicates the Number assigned to this account
plannedExpenses Expexpenses java.math.BigDecimal Expected expenses related to this project. Real number will originate from lines of the expense sheets, marked with Time Sheet=N.
expensesMargin Expmargin java.math.BigDecimal Expected margin for expenses.
reinvoicedExpenses Expreinvoicing java.math.BigDecimal Amount of expenses we plan to invoice back to the client. Real number will originate from sales invoices for this particular client and project that include products of type "expense" (such as telephone, electricity, etc)
personInCharge Responsible_ID BusinessPartner An employee that is responsible for the project.
serviceCost Servcost java.math.BigDecimal Expected total cost of services provided. The real number will originate from all expense sheets (lines marked as Time Sheet) related to this project.
serviceMargin Servmargin java.math.BigDecimal Expected service margin. Real number will be calculated from actual service revenue and costs.
serviceRevenue Servrevenue java.math.BigDecimal Expected revenue of services provided to the client. Real numbers will originate from invoices of services (products of type "service") sent out to the client.
setProjectType Setprojecttype java.lang.Boolean A process that copies the selected project type's (template's) phases and tasks into the current project.
startingDate Startdate java.util.Date A parameter stating when a specified request will begin.
servicesProvidedCost Servsercost java.math.BigDecimal Expected cost of services provided. The real number will originate from all expense sheets (lines marked as Time Sheet) related to this project.
outsourcedCost Servoutcost java.math.BigDecimal Expected cost of services outsourced. The real number will originate from all expense sheets (lines marked as Time Sheet) related to this project.
