Introduction
This document describes how to install, configure and use the Fast Browse module. This module changes the funcionallity and visualization of browse tab in Web POS for Retail.
Installation and configuration
To use this functionality the Fast Browse for WebPOS module needs to be installed.
Enterprise module management
Go to the window Enterprise module management, install reference data for Fast Browse.
This step will add the very basic configuration required by fast browse. Data created in this step can be found in the window "Fast Browse Configuration"
Fast Browse Configuration
Go to the window Fast Browse Configuration. In this window user can configure displayed columns and rows for categories and products. Here also, user can decide if just products specifically configured for fast browse are shown or if the rest of the products are also shown (Limited by columns and rows configured).
The fields to be filled in are:
- Category Columns: Number of columns to display. Default: 5
- Category Rows: Number of category rows to display. Default: 2
- Product Rows: Number of product rows to display. Default: 7
- Display only configured items: If this field is checked, only the products/categories specifically configured to work with fast browse are displayed. If not, configured items will be shown in the configured position and then the rest of the space will be will be filled with the products/categories which does not have an specific configuration for fast browse. (Limited by columns and rows configured for products and categories). Default: unchecked.
POS Terminal Type
Go to the window POS Terminal Type. In this window you must check the field Use Fast Browse to display the new visualization of browse tab.
The fields to be filled in are:
- Use Fast Browse: check this field to use fast browse.
Product Category
Go to the window Product Category. In this window you can configure, for each category, the sequence in grid and the background color.
Note: If the field Display only configured items in window Fast Browse Configuration is checked only those categories with sequence will be displayed sorted by the sequence. If not, all categories will be displayed showing first the ones with sequence defined.
The fields to be filled in are:
- Html Color: Background color. Format: #FFFFFF
- Seq. no: Number of sequence in grid.
Assortment
Go to the window Assortment.
Product Tab: In this tab you can configure for each product the position in grid. If Bestseller is checked, you can define the position in the category bestsellers.
Note: If check the field Display only configured items in window Fast Browse Configuration only the products with a position defined will be shown. If not, the products with position will also be shown, but in the empty cells products without position will be displayed sorted by product name.
The fields to be filled in are:
- Product Category Seq No: Display sequence of product category.
- Row: The row number in grid for its product category. (Limited by products rows configured and you can not repeat row and column for its product category).
- Column: The column number in grid for its product category. (Limited by category columns configured and you can not repeat row and column for its product category).
- Bestseller Row: The Bestseller row number in grid for the bestseller category. (Limited by products rows configured and you can not repeat bestseller row and bestseller column).
- Bestseller Column: The Bestseller column number in grid for the bestseller category. (Limited by category columns configured and you can not repeat bestseller row and bestseller column).
Operation
- Tap on the BROWSE button to navigate to the tab.
Categories will be shown in the top panel and products which belongs to the selected category will be shown in the bottom panel.
- Tap on button of a category.
Products for selected category are shown.
- Tap on product button.
Selected product is added to the receipt.
