Openbravo 3.0 AWS install from scratch

Introduction

The purpose of this document is to outline the details of installing Openbravo 3.0 and all of its dependancies on a Ubuntu platform running on Amazon. The Ubuntu instance will not have any dependancies prior to starting the installation. Openbravo itself will be compiled from the most recent tarball.

Getting the right Ubuntu image on Amazon

The first task in to find the best Ubuntu instance on Amazon. Determining best the instance is based on the technology stack as outlined in the custom installation documentation on the Openbravo website at this link: [[1]]

Here is the technology stack itself.


  • PostgreSQL
  • Sun JDK
  • Apache Ant
  • Apache Tomcat

    The instance selected will no have any of the technology present at the outset.
