Note: All the following actions must be executed without clicking the SAVE button in the toolbar |
Without confirmation prompt
The following actions should autosave the modified record.
Note: If the autosave action cannot be performed an error should be displayed to the user.
- Going from Header to Lines e.g. Purchase Order Header || Purchase Order Lines
- Going from Lines to Header e.g. Purchase Order Lines || Purchase Order Header
- In a tab, modify a field and click the "Complete" button
- In a tab, modify a field and click the "Copy From" button
- In a tab, modify a field and click the "Copy Lines" button
- In a tab, modify a field and go to another Window e.g. Go from Purchase Order Header to Purchase Invoice
- In a tab, modify a field and go to a generated process/report e.g. Go from Purchase Order Header to Analysis Tools || Purchase Order Report
- In a tab, modify a field and click a manual process e.g. Go from Purchase Order Header to Pending Goods Receipts
- In a tab, modify a field and click a manual report e.g. Go from Purchase Order Header to Purchase Dimensional Report
- In a tab, modify a field and click a workflow e.g. Go from Business Partner tab to Business Partner Setup in the menu
Changing global confirmation prompt
- Login as System Administrator
- Go to General Setup || Application || Preference
- Change to grid mode and select the preference with Attribute: ShowConfirmationDefault
- Change the Search Key value to Y
- Save (in this case click the SAVE button)
- Logout
Note: The preference settings are applied in the login process. You need to logout to see the changes.
With confirmation prompt
- After changing the global confirmation prompt. Repeat 5 action test made in the Without confirmation prompt section, you should always get a confirmation prompt asking if you want to save the changes made in the record.
- Follow the steps in Changing global confirmation prompt section and restore the Search Key value to N
Changing confirmation prompt to a window
Assigning confirmatiom prompt to a window
- Short Description:Test the confirmation prompt appears for a selected window
- Steps
- Login as Openbravo/openbravo
- Click on icon "user info" and select the role "System Administrator"
- General setup || Application || Preference
- Select the record that has the attribute "ShowConfirmation"
- Select the window User
- Change the search key to 'Y'.
- Save
- Logout and login as Openbravo/openbravo
- Goto General Setup || Security || User
- Click New and enter the mandatory fields and move to User roles
- Issues to verify:
- When clicked on the User Roles Confirmation prompt must appear asking "There are changes in the current record.Do you want to save changes"
- If the confirmation prompt doesn't appear and moves to User roles tab then the Test case is failed
Changing confirmation prompt to a user
Create an User and assign confirmation prompt
- Short Description:Test the confirmation prompt appears for a selected User
- Steps
- Login as Openbravo/openbravo
- Click on icon "user info" and select the role "System Administrator"
- Go to General setup || Security || User
- Click New and fill the mandatory field:
- Organization: *
- First Name "saveA"
- Name "usaveA"
- Username "saveA"
- Save
- Fill the password and save. Password "saveA"
- Move to User Roles and click New and select the SystemAdmin role.
- Go to General setup || Application || Preference
- Select the record that has the attribute "ShowConfirmation"
- Select the User "saveA"
- Change the search key to 'Y'.
- Save
- Logout
- Login as saveA/saveA
- Goto General Setup || Security || User
- Click New and enter the mandatory fields and move to User roles
- Issues to verify:
- When clicked on the User Roles Confirmation prompt must appear asking "There are changes in the current record.Do you want to save changes"
- If the confirmation prompt doesn't appear and moves to User roles tab then the Test case is failed

- Select the record that has the attribute "ShowConfirmation"
- Select the User "saveA"
- Select the window "User"
- Change the search key to 'Y'.
- Save
- Logout
- Login as saveA/saveA
- Goto General Setup || Security || User
- Click New and enter the mandatory fields and move to User roles
- Issues to verify:
- When clicked on the User Roles Confirmation prompt must appear asking "There are changes in the current record.Do you want to save changes"
