Test Plan

Several different options have been tested. The propose is demonstrate that between the standard navigation model and the extended navigation model there are not so much increment in time.

In results you can see how the change in the navigation model concern to performance in forced links. Also the same tests has been tried with a high volume of data (10.000 sales order added and processed).

In this sheet you can see all the results related to the tests.

Results

Average time to open forced links from sales invoice window:

Standard Navigation Model:

Sales Order Line: 37.87 ms
Product: 26.93 ms

Extended navigation Model:

Sales Order Line: 48.73 ms
Product: 40.2 ms

Standard Navigation Model (High volume of data):

Sales Order Line: 39.27 ms
Product: 30.47 ms

Extended navigation Model (High volume of data):

Sales Order Line: 62.87 ms
Product: 47.3 ms

Conclusions

Max increment around a 50% in a scale of tens of miliseconds, between Extended Model Navigation and Standard Navigation Model (Sampledata).

Max increment around a 60% in a scale of tens of miliseconds, between Extended Model Navigation and Standard Navigation Model (High volume of data).
