Introduction

The tax information provided by the multi-dimensional tax report is key for the companies to manually fill-in and submit the corresponding tax reports to the tax authorities.

Taxes and GL items setup
There are several ways of setting up taxes in Openbravo.
End-user can setup taxes such as value added tax (VAT) and withholding taxes at the application path:
“Financial Management // Accounting // Setup // Tax Rates”.
These kind of taxes can be used in the purchase and sales invoice lines as well as in the GL items to be later on used in manual settlements, bank statements or cash journals document types.
Besides, end-user can setup withholdings at the application path:
“Master Data Management // Business Partner Setup”.
This kind of withholdings can be used in the purchase invoice header window as well as in the GL items to be later on used in manual settlements, bank statements or cash journals document types.
It is important to remark that “Advanced Payables and Receivables Management“ module does not require nor support anymore:
- manual settlements, cash journals and bank statement document types
- taxes and withholdings setup in the GL items, therefore:
- taxes and withholding taxes must be booked in the system through invoices posting
- withholdings must be booked in the system through purchase invoice posting and payments posting.
Use cases
The companies must account for transactions containing taxes and withholdings as a result of business and later on submit the tax/withholding information to the tax authorities.
The Multi-dimensional tax report helps the end-user to get relevant tax information and sort it out according to the needs.
This tax report can be run at the application path: “Financial Management // Receivables & Payables // Analysis Tools”. It looks like shown in the screen attached below:
