Introduction
Until now there was not a salary category historic where all the different salary categories of an employee were stored
Aim of the project
The purpose of this project is to create a window to be able to register the salary category of an employee. A new table will be created to store the different employee categories.
Also, the different salary categories could have or not cost associated. A new check will be created to indicate if cost is applied or not to the salary category.
Finally, the Profitability Report will take in consideration the salary category in order to calculate the real cost of a project, looking for the effective salary category of the employee at the moment he/she was working for the project

Previous data
In order to test the new developments, it is a must to create three salary categories. Two of them with costs and the other one without it
1. Salary category without cost
- Steps:
- Login into English with role access to salary category window
- Go to Master data management-->Business partner set up-->Salary category
- Click New and fill the name as Junior and not mark the check Cost Applied
2. Salary category with cost. Senior
- Steps:
- Login into English with role access to salary category window
- Go to Master data management-->Business partner set up-->Salary category
- Click New and fill the name as Senior
- Verify the flag Cost Applied is marked by default
- Move to Cost tab and Click New
- Insert three different cost starting from 01/01/2006 to 01/01/2008. The cost for each year would go from 80 to 100.
3. Salary category with cost. Manager
- Steps:
- Login into English with role access to salary category window
- Go to Master data management-->Business partner set up-->Salary category
- Click New and fill the name as Manager
- Verify the flag Cost Applied is marked by default
- Move to Cost tab and Click New
- Insert three different cost starting from 01/01/2006 to 01/01/2008. The cost for each year would go from 125,150 and 200.
Test cases
1. Create a salary category history
- Steps:
- Login into English with role access to business partner
- Go to Master data management-->Business partner-->Employee
- Issues to verify: If the flag Employee is not marked you can not see the combo-box Current salary category
- Mark the flag Employee and save
- Move to salary category tab and click new
- Select the Salary category: Junior
- Fill the date 01/01/2000 and save
- Issue to verify: Move to Employee tab and verify the field Current salary category is Junior
- Move back to Salary category tab (Window Business partner) and click new
- Select the Salary category:Senior
- Fill the date 01/01/2000 and save
- Issue to verify: A message should show up: Cost not available for the inserted date
- Change the date to 01/01/2007 and save
- Issue to verify: Move to Employee tab and verify the field Current salary category is Senior
- Click New and select the Salary category:Senior and fill the date 01/01/2007
- Issue to verify: A message should show up saying that already exists a register with those values
