Product Gift Cards and Gift Vouchers
Product Gift Cards are documents that include a monetary credit. When sold, gift cards include an initial balance that can be consumed in point of sale orders until all the credit is consumed.
Gift Vouchers are documents that include credit in terms of a list of products or services. When sold, gift vouchers include an initial balance for each of the products or services, that can be consumed in point of sale orders that include one of several or the products listed in the gift voucher.

Gift Certificates are other type of Gift Card. As difference from Product Gift Cards, Gift Vourchers and Credit Notes (see below), Gift Certificates are not created from products consumption or from a payment generated during a ticket synchronization. These Gift Certificates are created setting a quantity and generating a payment in backend linked to a defined G/L Item.

A Credit Note is a type of gift card that is generated when doing any return process. When a Credit Note typed negative payment is created and synchronized, a Credit Note is also generated with the same quantity amount (but in positive).
After created, the user can consume that Credit Note to pay anything in the Web POS (with a value equal or less to the Credit Notes value).
