User Manual 2.2/Budget
Definition
The Budget window allows users to develop an idea of what a project, job, etc. will cost/earn. In the end, the budget will be compared against actual results in order to gauge the status.
Tabs
- Budget Header: Creates the type of budget being created. Options include procurement, sales, financial, etc.).
- Budget Line: Amounts are introduced in this section. One line can be for a period, or for the entire budget duration. Accounting dimensions are included in each budget.
Process Information
- When using a financial budget, each line in the second tab Budget Line must indicate the related accounting area being used in the overall budget.
- Using the Export Budget to Excel process, users can convert the document to this different, must simpler format.
- A Copy Budget features allows users to create a standard budget which can be used for similar projects, jobs, etc.
