Definition
Project (Service) helps companies manage the profitability of their services and offerings. It can be thought of as a “cost center” allowing managers to track expenses, employee hours and efforts, purchases, etc. Companies will be in a better position to manage and correctly invoice clients.
Three common kinds of service projects:
- Cost: Internal project with no direct income (no sales orders)
- Closed: Set hours or costs, for example 600 hours and 60,000 euros. Invoices are sent at the end of each project milestone (project phase).
- Open: Project without set hours or costs, like a maintenance project.
Process Information
Using Project Type, users will automatically fill in the second and third tab to create a standard project. However, once created, information is easily modifiable.
