Entity

Openbravo is a multi-company application. Each entity is a company managed by the application. The management of each entity is independent from others in the application. Each entity is comprised of one or many organizations.

New entities are not created from this window. The new entity creation process requires several verifications and processes which are made in the process found in General Rules > Entity Rules > Create Entity.

Using this form, entities can be created. Besides creating the organization, this process also generates user, roles, etc.

Definition

The User Window allows those in charge of the application to define and edit application users. After accessing the application, depending on defined roles, users are able to see determined functionalities. In this window, the user can also edit defined contacts in the business partner window. Regardless of what functionalities are available, each of them must have a defined user name and password in order to access the application.

The window role allows the user to define access or permission levels for each of the users in the system. The roles control access to the windows, tasks, reports, etc.

The process of entity creation automatically creates the roles of Organization Administrator and User of the entity. Additional roles can be added to control access to the different functionalities or data. Afterward, roles can be assigned to each corresponding user.

This window shows the relationship between registered sessions in the application.
